Gentlepeople:

The Chicago Tribune columnist Clarence Page writes about his column-
writing colleague Jonah Goldberg's new book "The Tyranny of Cliches:
How Liberals Cheat in the War of Ideas." Mr Page closes by listing “...a
few of the most annoying cliches, in my view, that I often hear from the
political right”

He lists six cliches. A popular internet search service shows four of them
occurring a total of 8 times. This is often? To Mr Page's credit, a fifth
cliché "Keep the government's hands off of my Medicare" returns 1,370
occurrences. Of the sixth cliché in Page's list, "America: Love It Or
Leave It" he remarks: “Funny, but I haven't heard that one much since
President Barack Obama's election....” That one occurs 450,000 times!
