Chicago PM Monday 17 September 2012 Voice of the People, Chicago Tribune Gentlepeople: A letter [blame game] in the Monday 17 September Voice of the People says "[George] Bush's ideas got us into this [economic] mess." For the first 6 years of the George W Bush administration  the federal government ran an at the time unheard of average monthly federal deficit of $20 billion.  With the assistance of a Democrat congress they were able to raise that to $35 billion in the last 24 months (nothing like getting late assistance from experts.) In the first 43 months of the Barack Obama administration the country had an average monthly federal deficit of $120 billion - six times higher than 'Bush' Who got us into this 'mess'?
